Little Tokyo landmark unveiling

The California Japanese American Community Leadership Council pro-actively and collectively addresses the challenges, changes and issues affecting the Japanese American community by promoting and coordinating a statewide network and developing strategic statewide/regional partnerships which strengthen our communities.

  • Little Tokyo unveiled the last in the series of 3 Japantown Landmarks at the Union Center for the Arts on August 16th (see photo at left). The other landmarks stand at San Francisco's Peace Plaza and San Jose's Issei Memorial Hall.
  • Preserving California's Japantowns, a survey of 43 pre-WWII J-towns, has a new website and is looking for community input.
